Thanksgiving arguably the best holiday that that we get to celebrate every year―aside from your birthday. A day that is dedicated to the appreciation of others, love and mostly importantly―amazing food. The holidays are approaching and Thanksgiving is personally my favorite time of the year. During this season, most people use the holiday’s to reflect on their lives and the things that they are grateful for. It is also a time of the year to splurge on gifts and food and not feel guilty about it. With Thanksgiving less than a week away, we all have things we look forward to. Continue reading for the 5 things we look forward to on Thanksgiving.
1. Spending time with extended family members.
Thanksgiving is probably the only time of the year you get the chance to spend time with family members who you might only see during the holidays or ones you haven’t seen in years. It’s always a good time when you get to spend a full day with your family and you’re able to catch up with your loved ones on what’s going on in your life.
2. Watching the Charlie Brown Specials
Every year ABC plays a Charlie Brown Special on Thanksgiving Day. Being able to sit down, eat a big plate of food, and listen to the adults in Charlie Brown saying “whomp whomp whomp whomp” makes the day more enjoyable.
3. Having the day off.
Most of us work everyday and we’re not able to enjoy a relaxing day off. Thanksgiving along with other holidays allows us to have the day off and enjoy the time we get to spend with family.
4. The Pre-Black Friday Sales
Black Friday sales are always the best but it’s even better when your able to get what you want a day before.
5. The Food
How can I complete a list about Thanksgiving and not include food. We all love food and Thanksgiving is the day that we can all eat as much as we want and not worry about how much calories were intaking. Food is essential to the holiday and without it there’s no Thanksgiving.
