Courtney Rashon has been in the game for a while, you’ve just been sleeping!
Behind the scenes for a while, she’s done make up for reality stars like Sebastian, Petey Pablo and Natalie Nunn and done make up for From Fatherless to Fatherhood, which appeared on Oprah’s Own TV Network
Aside from that, she’s now a television correspondent on What’s The 411, which appears on a myriad of television screens in the New York City area.
In between her busy schedule of beating faces and takes on TV, Rashon caught up with Pynk.
Here’s the Scoop:
PYNK: Who inspires you?
Courtney Rashon: I have a great deal of inspiration. Personally,my grandmother who is a remarkable woman has always inspired me. Professionally, Oprah Winfrey inspires me for her impact and contributions she has made to the world and to media as well. Her story of struggles and triumph is amazing period!
PYNK: What intrigues you about make up?
Courtney Rashon: Make up has the ability to transform you into anything you want to look like. It also enhances a person’s natural beauty. Make up can also cover and correct most flaws and discolorations which allow people to feel more confident.
PYNK: How did you bridge your fashion and makeup into television?
Courtney Rashon: The bridge was an easy transition. The show, What’s the 411, features a beauty segment where I speak about new trends and products as well as what’s new and fresh and in the world of beauty. I am also a contributing writer and key makeup artist on the show. It was natural and it just made sense!
PYNK: Where do you ultimately see yourself?
Courtney Rashon: I see myself doing numerous things which all are related to beauty and television. I also plan to write more books after my beauty book “Giving Face” is released.
PYNK: What do you like to do when you are not working?
Courtney Rashon: When I am not working I am usually at the gym, hanging out with my best friends, (btw bonding with your girlfriends releases endorphins which is great for the body) or traveling. I love to experience new places and learn about the culture.
PYNK: What’s a makeup tip going into the spring and summer?
Courtney Rashon: Red lips are here to stay.
