Being an entrepreneur has its good days. There is nothing like waking up in the morning, pouring yourself a hot cup of java, and getting straight to work on your dream. Nothing compares to knowing that every dollar that you earned belongs to you. Yes, it feels really good.
But, being an entrepreneur also has its bad days. Working for yourself is not like working a 9-5. There are times when you are working around the clock… alone. There are bills to be paid and if deadlines are missed, you don’t eat because you can’t afford the bacon. Yes, it can be discouraging.
Erica Dias, co-founder of The B Firm: PR, knows that those lackluster days can be a drag, which is why she wrote her book, Faith it Until You Make It. The book of inspirational quotes was written to inspire women to continue to work smart towards their goals. It is also intended to be a pick-you-up when there is no one to give you a few words of encouragement.
“I’ve been through so much as an entrepreneur and I’ve learned so much. These quotes have gotten me through many of days, and I wanted to share them with others to hopefully give them the same pick me up that they gave me,” Erica explains.
One of the quotes that Erica uses daily, is Delegate to Elevate. “It is my favorite quote because in life it’s important to put people in a position to help you succeed,” Erica shares. “Growth is good! This has been an ongoing struggle, but I’m getting better at it each day.”
I took on the challenge of reading the book to use the quotes to give me inspiration, and I am quite happy with the results. Here are a few quotes that I got from the book that gave me a little motivation for the day:
The most effective way to do it is to do it!
This quote reminds me of the words spoken from my father if ever I complained of something that I wanted to do but never got around to making it happen. Because of the admiration that I have for my father’s ability to just do, those words give me the push I need to complete my daily task.
If you kinda sorta try, you kinda sorta get results.
Quite simple, if you approach anything half-hearted, then you will get half-heartened results. If you want to get the best out of your work, then give it your all.
Never let a day go by when you work on other people’s dreams and not your own.
This quote is everything! While it is good to help others succeed, we must remember that we also have dreams, ideas, and plans of our own that we must accomplish in order to fulfill our heart and spirits.
If these quotes make you feel the way that I do when I read them, then just imagine what this book has to offer.
