Foodies Dream Week aka Restaurant Week

With Fashion week strutting to a close and All Star Weekend a blurry memory.  The city that never sleeps is on to the next attraction; Restaurant Week! It’s actually more like three weeks (Feb 16- Mar 6) but in true NY style we make our own rules!
So, Why the big deal over Restaurant Week? Let’s start with the fact that NYC has some of the world’s best restaurants and renown Chefs, think about it “The Food Network” is based here.  But let’s face it, it’s all about the great prices, prefix menus and getting to enjoy restaurants that normally is just not in our budget lane.
Now, all you fashion craze foodies that’s been surviving on carrots and green juice to look über fab for fashion week, it’s time to fill those pallets with NYC’s most delectable flavors of Restaurant Week!
Let’s start with one of my faves
1. Beauty & Essex (Beauty & Essex)
It’s a trendy Restaurant, Lounge, Pawnshop that serves small plates.  So you can eat, dance and shop! The cuisine is Pan-American with an Asian twist. It’s truly one of a kind, and the best part 3 courses for $38.00 per/person
2. Park Avenue Winter (26th and Park Avenue)
Love this place!  The name changes with the season! Which means so does the menu and the decor.  The menu offers pan American it what they like to call “New American”.  They are open for lunch and dinner lunch restaurant week price is $25 and dinner $38 for three courses per/person
3. Mr. Chow (TriBeCa & Midtown locations) SundayFriday Only
Want to know what the hype is all about, but felt it was out of your lane. Well here is your chance to eat like the stars. The menu offers PanAsian cuisine; 3 courses for $38.00 per/person.
4. NOBU (both Tribeca locations) MondayFriday & Lunch Only
As far as restaurant chains go, this is definitely an exception.  Serving amazing Japanese cuisine especially Sushi!  3 course lunch menu $25 per/person
Last but definitely not least
5. Le Cirque (58th Street)
One of New York’s most iconic restaurants! Arts, Food and Fashion in modern, circus themed dinning room bests sums up this French cuisine based restaurant! On a regular day a 5 course meal would set you back $225 per/person plus another $140 p/p for wine pairing, but again during restaurant week a 3 course dinner will only set you back $38 p/p for Dinner and $25 for lunch.
For those of us who live here we tend to overlook these special events that make our city unique.  Step out of the monotony of the everyday restaurant, enjoy the taste of the highlife at a fraction of the cost.  Get the girlfriends and/ or the bae and enjoy this wonderful city!
As they say Bon Appetit
