Lupita Nyong’o, Idris Elba and More Star In ‘The Jungle Book’

THE JUNGLE BOOK - Lupita Nyong'o voices Raksha, a mother wolf who cares deeply for all of her pups—including man-cub Mowgli, whom she adopts as one of her own when he's abandoned in the jungle as an infant. "She is the protector, the eternal mother," says Nyong'o. "The word Raksha actually means protection in Hindi. I felt really connected to that, wanting to protect a son that isn’t originally hers but one she’s taken for her own."

On April 15th, Disney is bringing us another classic, this time in IMAX and 3D. The Jungle Book starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Walken, and introducing Neel Sethi chronicals the life of a young boy raised by a family of wolves. Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known into the wilderness of the unknown jungle when the tiger leader Shere Khan (Idris Elba) threatens the wolves’ community. With the help of his friend panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), Mowgli fights the jungle despite of the challenges that get in the way.

Along side his animal friends, Mowgli travels through the depths of the jungle on a journey of self-discovery. Directed by Jon Favreau of Iron Man and from the same producers who brought us The Pirates of the Caribbean, The Jungle Book is transformed into a master piece of action and graphics, while preserving the history of Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories.
