Must See TV: “Ghost Brothers” Bring Humor To Paranormal TV

Ghost Brothers, Dalen, Juwan and Marcus.

Ladies, make room for another set of ghost busters coming to your television screens!  Well, ghost busters would be a bit of a stretch, maybe ghost hunters may be a bit more accurate. Either way you don’t want to miss Destination America’s excellent new show, Ghost Brothers premiering on April 15th. The diverse new program  features TV’s first African-American paranormal investigation team and they do deliver a little eye candy realness so tune in.

Although they look like an R&B  group put together by an image-conscious record exec.,  “Ghost Brothers” consists of two fashion designers and a barber – all raised in religious households.  The trio tours a series of allegedly haunted houses in America to find the truth behind the local tales. “ Although messing with ghosts” is taboo in the African-American religious community, Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass and Marcus Harvey’s curiosity overpowers their skepticism. By day, Dalen and Juwan are fashion designers with their own label called Loren Spratt, though, in their off time, they have been investigating haunted houses, hotels and cemeteries together since 2011. Marcus, a comedian and “Barber to the Stars,” met Dalen in 2009 and now, as an “experienced” ghost hunter, he considers himself the Peter Venkman of the trio.

Ghoulish hot spots explored in GHOST BROTHERS include the Magnolia Hotel in Seguin, Texas; Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio; Allen House in Monticello, Ark.; Magnolia Plantation in Derry, La.; Delta Queen Steamboat in Houma, La.; and the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Washington, Ga..

“The best part about GHOST BROTHERS is that THIS time, the black guys make it out of the haunted house alive!” said Spratt.“We’re excited to join the Destination America family and prove that there can be a little humor in the unknown.”

Jane Latman, general manager of Destination America which is the leader in paranormal programming, said, “We are excited to bring diversity to this space with the very first African American ghost hunting team on television.”

The six-part series of GHOST BROTHERS is set to premiere on Friday, April 15 at 10/9c, on Destination America. Both comedic and disturbingly chilling, I recommend that you watch this show with a group of friends. See what happens when the GHOST BROTHERS disturb the spirit of an overseer who is still salty by the idea of equality. Check out the exclusive clip below.
