In my opinion, there cannot be a better way to bring in the New Year than with a glass of champagne. It’s practically a holiday tradition, along with sparkly dresses and staying up till midnight to watch the ball drop. And traditionally, champagne is drunk neat, no frills, no pizazz. But where is the fun in that? This year, let’s take our champagne glasses to the next level. Here are a few of my favorite recipes to help you do so.
Ingredients: 2 oz Champagne, ½ oz lemon juice, 1 oz gin, 2 dashes of simple syrup
Preparation: Combine gin, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced champagne glass. Top with champagne. Enjoy.
Jubal Early Punch
