Written By: Christina N. Hammond

Similar to your favorite rapper dropping a mixtape, single or cover, new girl group favorite Good Girl have surfaced with a unique cover of Tory Lanez “Say It”, a live acoustic performance covering Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and what seems a little sexy and seasoned, their rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Focus” all within six weeks.  With the advisement of their team, these young ladies come up with the concepts, creative direction, choreography, blocking, song arrangements, and more.

Since we’ve last seen them, Good Girl has sustained a steady organic growth in fans both internationally and nationally. From going viral on both Instagram and Youtube, to their performances at historic venues and arenas such as the Lincoln Financial Field, SOB’s and the Howard Theatre to opening for acts such as the legendary SWV, Wale, Estelle, Snootie Wild and Jeremih, the Good Girl fan base continues to grow.  The group continue to build their brand and team by naming Ali P their music director, who’s known for his work with artists such as Jazmine Sullivan, Neyo, J.Cole, and Ty Dolla Sign, also arranging and programming for award shows such as the AMA’s, Billboard Awards, Soul Train Awards and the MTV Awards, including Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande’s “Bang Bang” performance.

We first met these young Philly ladies about a year ago, when they captured our hearts and ears during Diddy’s #MissingYouChallenge (, as they reminded us of 90’s class acts such as SWV, TLC, Destiny’s Child, Total and En Vogue. This new girl power of a groupl are a little sprinkle of pop, while playing their part in the rebirth of timeless vocals, good R&B music and entertainment.
