Today’s #PGOTD is none other than music and entertainment mogul, Mona Scott-Young. The epitome of pretty, powerful, and provocative, she has worked for well over a decade to solidify herself as a force to be reckoned with in the arenas of music and television.
Mona started her career in artist management as co-founder of Violator Management where she managed and helped build the careers of hip-hop legends such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, and LL Cool J.
She later founded the multi-media entertainment company, Monami Entertainment where she produces “Love & Hip-Hop”, “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta”, “The Gossip Game”, and “The New Atlanta”.
She is also part owner and Chief Marketing Officer of Myx Fusions, a fruit-infused premium Moscato beverage.
She has been honored many times for her business acumen and success including being named “Marketer of the Year” by Ad Age, being honored by ASCAP’s “Women Behind the Music”, the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment, and the National Congress & Convention of Haitian-Americans.
