The Amours, also known as “the sisters of love,” are setting to blaze a trail in the music industry. The Washington D.C. based creatives, Jakiya Ayanna and Shaina Aisha, are known for their eclectic harmonies kismet with a refreshing organic blend of R&B, Bluegrass-Soul, Jazz, Pop, and Classical fusions. With their undeniable, one of a kind sound, The Amours are approaching the industry on their own terms, spreading their heart-felt musical message of love. The opened for acts like Jazmine Sullivan, Teyanna Taylor, and even sang for First Lady, Michelle Obama. I had the chance to sit down with the sister duo and also watch them give an amazing performance at SOB’s Sol Village. See next page for interview.
