Grace Jones is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model and actress who made a name for herself in fashion at the start of the 1970’s. When she was 18, she signed a modelling contract and moved to Paris, which soon birthed her long-term career as one of the most unique models and personalities to ever grace the fashion industry. Jones worked with renowned names in fashion including: Yves Saint Laurent, Claude Montana, and Kenzo Takada, she has also appeared on the covers of Elle and Vogue.

Known for her intensity and carelessness to appeal to the public media, Grace Jones is recognized as an icon in the entertainment and fashion industries. Amongst her many successes, Grace paved the way for black women in modelling agencies and changed the status quo for the usual image of models in the 70s and 80s.
