We love Ed Sheeran and his seamless acceptance in black culture is refreshing. On Ed’s accord, he visited New York this week and one of his first press stops was The Breakfast Club. Chatting with Angela Yee, DJ Envy and Charlamagne The God, Sheeran sipped and told all about his music industry adventures. In an original and unique interview, we’ve gotten to know Ed through more than just his music.
As Charlamagne got him a little tipsy and to speak about giving in abundance, the UK Phenom actually gave Tha God $100 out of his pocket and signed it to give to his daughter―a true genuine moment. The trio definitely had fun with the Grammy-winning artist as he sang their rendition of Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night.” Although he was a little pitchy at 6 a.m., his adlibs were on point!
