1. Got boring lifeless pillows on your couch? Switch them out

When your sofa pillows have gotten to the point where they form your body when you are not sitting on them, its time for a change. One of the easiest ways to spruce up your home is by adding decorative toss pillows. #PynkGirlHint The more texture the better: fur, velvet, pattern, and solids they are all welcome to the party.

2. Paint It

A little paint can go a long way. This tip is probably the most inexpensive way to spruce up your home. We know painting can seem like a daunting task but its actually very therapeutic and you don’t have to be a professional to do it a.k.a painters tape will save your life. If you don’t want to commit to painting the entire space just paint an accent wall which can be a fabulous focal point and can help give a room purpose.

3. Flowers, Candles, Action!

Flowers and candles are not just for relaxing, they can really bring your home to life. Its as easy as 1, 2, 3. Grab a decorative vase, your favorite flowers, and your favorite candle and voila! Soon your home will look and smell like a million bucks.

4. Curtains

Curtains can make a room feel grand and complete when hung properly. We have seen some curtain nightmares in our day but just remember the taller the better. Try to hang your curtains as close to the ceiling as possible. This technique will bring your eyes up and it will make your space look much taller than it is. As a plus there are so many ready-made curtains out there to choose from and if you’re on a budget IKEA (don’t cringe) has a really great expanding line of curtains.

5. Reading is Fundamental

Books have now left the bookcase and have traveled to our coffee tables. You can use your books to hold decorative objects or you can have them sit there and look pretty. By adding books that speak to who you are, brings a level of sophistication and a personal touch to your home.
