October 27, 2014, New York. Restauranteur and Founder, Surayya Barbee, announces the launch of The Kids League (TKL) with a kick off/ fundraising event set for Tuesday, November 18th from 7p.m. to 10p.m. at The Park 112 located at 2080 Frederick Douglass Blvd in New York. TKL’s mission is to provide leadership development by implementing healthy life practices to youth at an early stage.
Flanked with prestigious entertainment industry executives such as Board Members, BMI Executive Wardell Malloy; Nicki Minaj’s Creative Director Kianga Peterson; Brand Ambassador Randy Parker; ASCAP Vice President Nicole George Middleton; along with Publicist Michelle Huff; Kia Marshall; Adonis Spicer; and June Glover all hope to raise not only the funds, but awareness to the educational needs of children. “The purpose of this event is to raise startup capital to maintain program & organization operating costs. The Kids League will offer programs in the areas of Sports; Health & Wellness; Fashion; Music & the Arts. These programs will be available to students ages 4 to12 years of age,” said Board Member Wardell Malloy.
PYNK Magazine will also be joining to support the launch of TKL as the Media Sponsor for the night’s event. PYNK Magazine is a fashion forward magazine that focuses and uplifts progressive women. “We are excited about their support”, said Barbee, Founder. Building workshops that enable kids to focus on good use of common sense.
