Tuesday night, PYNK Magazine in conjunction with The Kids League hosted an evening for relaxation, releasing and networking. “Spring Beauty” offered guests services with the top massage therapists, manicurists, and make-up artists in NYC. The night was filled with good vibes and positive energy from supporters and everyone who attended.
All the proceeds for the event were donated to The Kids League, which is a non-profit organization—founded by Surraya Barbee—dedicated to helping children residing in low-income neighborhoods by providing them with creative arts programs. The Kids League aims to educate children—between the ages of 4-16—by instructing workshops for fashion, music, film, health and wellness, and the arts. Their mission is to provide them with active learning opportunities that will leverage their natural skill sets and foster their overall development through mentorship and peer engagement.
It is important that children be exposed to the myriad of art forms that exist no matter where they come from. For some children, the dream of making a career out of a passion is farfetched, but with the help of supporters; The Kids League will be able to make these dreams come true by keeping at-risk children off the streets and engaged in something beneficial to their futures. Special thanks to Diva Boo Styles NYC nail salon, make-up artists Tiffany Garlick and Celine Elise, Tres Chic Cupcake for the delicious treats, and DJ Esso and DJ Space Out for the great sounds.
