When you are invited to a dinner party during the holiday’s, it is very important that you attend with a gift in hand to contribute to the gathering. It appear rude and pretentious to show up empty handed—yet, with the expectations of eating tasty hor d’oeuvres and drinking free wine.

You also don’t want to over do it by bringing all the activities for the evening or bring a fully catered holiday meal—it’s never a good look to upstage the host or hostess. Try bring something that says “thank you for inviting me,” or “I appreciate being here.” Although there is not reason why you can’t just ask them  what to bring, to show that you “does this” and this isn’t your first holiday shindig; here is some great party etiquette that will be an excellent addition to the night.
