“Be Still” sounds like strange advice today. We have too much to do, and not enough time. We’re all in a race, a race to success. Working hard to paint the picture we envision for our lives. To be still is not a command to stop being productive. It’s just instruction to let God lead you in all that you do.
Have you ever waited on God, and felt like he didn’t answer? There was a time in my life I felt this way. I made up my mind to do something, then expected God to bless it. After dealing with consequences of making a bad decision, I still had to turn to God for help. Why didn’t I wait in the first place?
As I watched God nicely clean up my mess. It became even more clear to me, that I continuously need his guidance. Trusting God was more than just reciting a cliché, or posting motivational quotes on social media. I needed to “Be Still”. Have you ever “Stood Still” and didn’t get the answer you wanted? Sometimes God will make us wait, simply because we’re not ready for the things we pursue. I believe a blessing can become a curse when it’s given prematurely. So let’s do all we can to not get ahead of God, and on this journey called life always find yourself asking “God what do say about this?” Wait on God. Stand still and watch a great big God do great big things! #PYNKinspiration
