Raven Symoné is under fire yet again for a comment she clearly did not think about before she said out loud.

During a Thursday morning episode of The View, the topic of name discrimination was brought up, which referred to a study in the Journal of Evolution and Human Behavior of name-based discrimination. Of course Raven had to say something and this time she put her own foot in her mouth.

“Just to bring it back, can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory,’ because I think that’s a better word. And I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in the video,” she said. “I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you.”

After the former Disney channel star shared her views, another co-host chimed in and stated that no one has control over the name that their parents have given them.

From Raven claiming to be from “every continent in Africa” to refusing to hire people if they have a “ghetto” name, it’s apparent that she hasn’t learn from the backlash she received from her previous comments.

Over the weekend, Raven’s father Christopher Pearman went to the press to speak on his daughters grown ass mistakes, claiming that his daughter “has her own opinions, right or wrong, and is responsible for her own words and actions. She’s a grown ass woman making grown ass mistakes. We have all been guilty of this…Raven is a really Beautiful, Sweethearted, Human Being. I should know. Her Mother and I Love her Very much and will always support her and have her back. Even if sometimes…she says some dumb S#%T!” Ultimately the child star has to learn for herself that some of her ideas are better left unsaid.
