Serena+Williams+Day+Five+Championships+Wimbledon+mzaC1Q__URNlCongratulations to the greatest female athlete of all time. The world watched Serena Williams signify her black girl magic over the weekend. Williams, 34, beat Angelique Kerber on Saturday morning and won her seventh Wimbledon- along with the 22nd Grand Slam title. The first set was very close, but Williams returned well by hammering the second serve that floated in at 75 mph. Williams completely dominated, and took the title with a 7-5, 6-3 win. A Pumped-up Williams roared in celebration after one long tennis match.

When it was over, the tennis icon was ready to own it! Williams lifted both arms over her head, raised two fingers on each hand to show off the number 22 right there on centre court. Later, during the trophy ceremony Williams said, “It was incredibly difficult not to think about breaking records, but it makes the victory even sweeter to know how hard I worked for it.” Serena is now even with tennis star Steffi Graf on 22 Grand Slam titles, and the Tennis Podcast team believe she will go on to surpass the all-time record of 24.
