Amy Winehouse is the EMO girl’s heroine. We will never forget her thick eye-liner signature look and her fluid baritone voice that stole our hearts in the early 2000s. The Euro songstress came and conquered our stereos and emotionally connecting to each person that ever played her tunes. Since her passing in 2011, we have yet to have another artist in her realm who has been as influential and talented as the young star, but her legacy lives on and her story will soon be told in her new film Amy, which chronicles the life of the soul singer.
Born in London, England, Winehouse got her start in 2003 with her debut album, Frank which got some serious attention after the drop of her single “Stronger Than Me.” We still play her classics like “Rehab,” “Back To Black,” “You Know I’m No Good” and the list goes on. According to VIBE the documentary about her life and story will be selectively releasing July 10 and we can’t wait!
